The Apple Blossom line (1949-1952) was part of the strong naturalistic and decorative aesthetic of MCM Art Pottery so popular after WW II.
The Bottom is marked with "Roseville", "U.S.A." and style number. The Bowl is 2 1/2" tall and 7 3/4" wide.
A bowl such as this has both decorative and functional purposes, it presents well as a bowl centered around the dining room or living area; with its decorative nature, it makes an ideal centerpiece for dining, to place on a console, table or buffet. It could be displayed empty or filled with items appropriate for the season.
The shallow open design is perfect for holding fruit...... adding a touch of natural beauty to the kitchen or dining area.

Note: because of the porosity of the glaze, it can also be used for serving cold items like salads, snacks or less formal food presentations, particularly when
entertaining.

We love the raised, three-dimensional pattern of white blossoms with pink or coral-colored centers, set among green leaves and brown, twig-like branches. Like other vintage pottery, this has crazing, a web of fine lines in the glaze, which is a normal sign of aging. See less
