The design firm of John and Joanne Brook was based in Toronto, Canada from about 1952 to 1976. The Brooks were known at first for their textiles, but later introduced furniture designs of their own. This chair is much in the vein of designs by Florence Knoll , George Nelson, Mies van der Rohe, etc. It has been newly upholstered in a soft brushed twill olive-green fabric sitting atop a sleek chrome base. The fixed back cushion ensures a consistently clean look. The chair is heavy and very well made. It measures approximately 30" W x 30" H x 30" D.
