The interior is decorated with four ornate, longevity, medallions of eight, red, Shou characters on a turquoise ground amid Taoist symbols surrounding a central, red,lotus flower medallion on a turquoise ground banded by pink and blue, Ru Yi lappets, all amid finely drawn orchids and plum flowers on leafy, intertwining, polychrome vines. The exterior of the bowl is decorated with five, finely drawn, red Fu bats, forming the rebus of Wu Fu Min Len: wishes for the five blessings of health, wealth, long life, love of virtue and a peaceful death. A blue, six character, Yongzheng reign mark in Zhuanshu script is glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu, plate stand and paulownia wood, presentation box is included. Circa Republic of China era, no later than mid century.
