Offered is a mid 20th century Italian pebbled lava ceramic trinket dish/candy bowl by famed artisans Fratelli Fanciullacci. The pebbled effect stemmed from their application of a metal mesh to their wet ceramics and hand painting the resulting mosaic texture with their desired designs. This piece features a floral mosaic motif within a circle, reminiscent of a mediterranean courtyard, and a gilded rope detail as piping along the edges. We hope the pictures do it justice , it's very beautiful.
