The dark oak frame case holds wonderful old wavy glass protecting the painstaking hand work. The painted square rigger model itself is carved of wood and carries cloth sails and flags . The quarter boards identify the ship as the Young America in typed print. Details include lifeboats, deck fittings, and carved wooden figures. The captain stands at the helm. Rigging and sails are in reasonably good order. Late 19th or early 20th century. See less
