This lady is very finely painted and we believe is most likely French. The style of the lady leads us to believe that it is late 18th or early 19th century in creation. The watercolor on paper is mounted in a brass trimmed holder on the top of a snuff box that has gold inlay decoration around the border. Box is probably contemporary to the portrait.

Condition: There are some water stains to the fine portrait.
