Nyonyaware, also known as Nyonya ware or Straits Chinese porcelain, refers to the vibrant, enameled porcelain produced in China during the 19th and early 20th centuries for the wealthy Peranakan (Straits-born Chinese) communities of Penang, Malacca, and Singapore. The ware is characterized by its bold, colourful designs, often featuring phoenixes, peonies, and other auspicious symbols, and was used for auspicious occasions.
This small 4" dish has a unique form that I've not seen before but it
looks like it could be useful in many ways. The base color of the dish is a
pure white, some of the photos show a bit of yellow to the color but that is
a problem with my camera.
