This lovely to look at pedestal vessel is a beautifully engraved brass flower frog (removable frog screen top) which features a whimsical floral and foliate design of assorted vines and leaves surrounded by alternating chrysanthemum and peony flowers. Ideal for use in Ikebana as a petite centerpiece, just add snipped fresh flowers, or simply display as a boho chic decorative accent.

This cutie measures 4½” x 5” x 5” H/W/D (height includes the screened top); interior 2½” x 4¼” x 4¼” H/W/D; weight 13 oz. In excellent condition with age-appropriate wear that includes oxidation to the interior and to the frog screen due to use, that in no way affects its beauty or utility and is part of the charm a vintage piece offers. Photos were taken in the round to show all sides and any varying shades and nuances of the vessel’s color and texture. Handcrafted in India (mark on the underside see photo 11) sometime in the 1970s by an unknown metalwork artisan.
