Offered is a set of 8 Japanese Teak bent wood plates with black matte lacquered bases. We're not sure why this technique became so popular in the 1960s, we've found many trays and platters like this. But these are the first ever plates we've found and are so pleased we found a nice sized set. Very clean lined rounded squares, a perfect gift for your mid century enthusiast best friend.
