Horse brasses were used to decorate shire and parade horses for special events in the mid to late 1800s. They are highly collectible, and display nicely year-round on door knobs, wreaths, and as wall art. They also make great gift tags and toppers.
These are tied off with a high-quality velvet ribbon, with enough length to easily hang on a tree, wreath or use as a gift adornment. I like to hang mine on a bottle of wine or bourbon to give as a hostess gift.
