When I first noticed this piece at a local auction I saw a slight veneer loss on the surface of … Read more When I first noticed this piece at a local auction I saw a slight veneer loss on the surface of the seat. Thats when I knew I would be compelled to put a skull on it. Red white and black. Those colors make me think of the Navajo rugs of the Southwest.
My crew used one inch foam on the cushion and it was pulled down taught. The black edge piping is black corduroy.
One can only wonder how many of these could sell at a DWR Facility because it is such a fun
chair!
Please note Herman Miller is an attribution. No tags or stamps found on piece. Plus no need to bore you
with details about philips head screws or bushings. Also there was nothing in the drop down regarding original designers of this chair which were Charles and Ray Eames in 1946.
I have included 3 chair photos upside down. One is a 50s dcw. The 3rd all red chair is a 2000s dcw. The one in the middle which is the "ghost" version maybe 70s or earlier. I don't recommend
by any of the corporate ground shippers. Furnature is fragile. When its in a box people are detached from the contentd and have a tendency to throw things about professional movers that blanket wrap are the way to go. See less
