The large elongated freeform natural burl wood specimen features a stunning array of highly desirable burl characteristics, handcrafted from a single massive solid timber, finely hand carved, turned and polished, having an organic asymmetric sculptural form, the deep basin and surrounding live edge rim top highly polished and smooth to the touch, while the exterior features various unique designs derived naturally from mother nature, including vertical contrasting striations, streaks of color, ridges, grooves and textured growths, all from the tree itself. Finished on all sides, even the smooth flat bottom highlights the unusual growth rings, inherent inclusions, fissures, and splits consistent with burled tree trunk.
