Large 4-panel painted Japanese Byobu (folding screen), depicting a graceful landscape scene with Skylarks and Big Old Pine tree. Signed and sealed by artist. Gouache, watercolor and ink on paper. Silk border. Lacquered black wood frame with engraved copper corners and medallions showing age patina. Paper on back. Japan, Shōwa Era, circa 1960s. Very Good condition - minor age wear, no damage to the painting, water damage on the lower side of silk border and back (please see image #16, second from the last image), a small dent on back, strong hinges, sturdy.
