Exquisite 19th-century French Barbotine majolica oyster plate, hand-painted with lush florals and intricate detailing in soft pastels. Each plate features six oyster wells surrounding a central sauce compartment, a design that was the height of French dining sophistication in the late 1800s.
Perfect for serving oysters on the half shell (or shrimp cocktail if you’re feeling playful), these plates also moonlight beautifully as display pieces — hung on a wall, styled in a china cabinet, or used to add a touch of aristocratic flair to a modern table. This is the kind of serving piece Princess Margaret would have insisted upon at one of her Riviera suppers. Painter’s mark on underside.
Available individually, or as a complete set of six. Please message us if you’d like the full set — we’re happy to extend special pricing through a Private Offer.
