Beautiful early Japanese bronze vase, late Edo to early Meiji period. No studio or artist marks, the early interest in rich and colorful textured patinas, and abstracted textures over the surface. This is a classic bottle-shaped vase form. The theme is three carp figures moving in a diagonal pattern. The measurements are 14" tall and 7.25" in diameter at the widest part of the body.
