Not entirely sure of the wood species. Possibly British, maybe of Indian origin during the time when it was occupied by Britain. In good condition. A few small chips in the wood which is photographed. The wooden piece that the pants are usually folded over shows a good bit of wear insofar as the finish is quite thin. It doesn’t detract from the beauty of the piece but adds an aged patina. See less
