A hand made chop plate by Mississippi artist Gail Pittman.
Founded in 1979 when Gail Pittman left full-time teaching to stay at home with her children, her kitchen table was her studio. What began as a hobby grew to a multi-million-dollar operation including a modern 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility located in Ridgeland, Mississippi.
Ceramic artist Gail Jones Pittman was born on 1 May 1951, the second child of Patsy Farmer Jones and Walker William Jones Jr.
