Circa Large Size with an Approx. … Read more This is a Great Looking and Very Unusual Antique English Salt Glaze Stoneware Jug. Circa Large Size with an Approx. 3 Gallon Liquid Storage Capacity. Circa Early 19th Century. It is Rendered in a Classic Semi Ovoid Form with a Divided Two Shades of Rust Color Exterior. The Front is Embossed - Reads "GEORGE SMITH WINE & BRANDY MERCHANT GREENWICH". It is Completely Hand Made. It is in Excellent All Original Condition and it Displays Beautifully. It has Some Surface Glaze Imperfections - Spots Etc All of Which Would Have Occurred in the Making - Kiln Firing Process. It Also Has Some Very Small Glaze Chips at the Top Spout Perimeter. No Cracks - No Repairs.
