A well-made early 20th-century English leather topped mahogany table in the Late Victorian / Regency Revival style. The rectangular top is centred with a gilt-tooled leather panel and twin drop leaves supported on pull-out brackets. Two drawers with brass swan handles are set to one side, balanced by dummy drawers opposite.
Raised on lyre-form supports with a turned stretcher and swept legs, ending in brass lion paw feet with castors. This versatile and finely crafted piece is equally suited for use as a writing desk, sofa table, or wall console, combining decorative presence with practical function. Its quality of construction and original brass fittings reflect the enduring appeal of English cabinet-making traditions. Dimension 144cm open and 89cm folded, 55 cm depth
