The pieces are made from … Read more Here is an amazing pair of antique, cornucopias that feature cherub figures supporting sculptural horns. The pieces are made from horn, brass and I believe, bronze. As you can see, they are wonderfully detailed and so unique! From research these were used as beer steins or trophies, referenced as "Horns of Plenty" from Greek mythology, symbolizing abundance and prosperity. They were made in Europe, likely Germany or Austria in the 19th c or earlier. Please note the fantastic lid detail with bird motif at the top. See less
