Offering a stunning small jewelry or keepsake box made out of a rare semi-precious stone, most likely Bird's Eye Rhyolite. The box was made in Mexico during the Mid 20th Century and it is engraved on the bottom: Belart Mexico 201.
The box is rectangular in shape and it is surrounded with polished sheets of stone. The base is brass as well as the banding. There is an aged red felt insert on the bottom of the interior of the box, which is original to the box. The new owner will be very happy about its vintage condition.
PLEASE NOTE: The lid was not designed to stay open at a fixed angled position. The clasp is quiet and secure. Retains its original manufacturing components.
EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION. The solid brass banding was hand-polished to restore the box's luxurious appearance. The bottom of the box was left untouched for authenticity purposes showing its aged beautiful patina.
