With its combination of equestrian imagery, polished metal and elegant proportions, the set has the glamorous decorative presence associated with French Art Deco and Hollywood Regency interiors.

The complete five-piece ensemble consists of the freestanding stand together with four fireplace implements: poker, shovel, tongs and brush.

Each implement rises to an unusually sculptural cast brass horse-head finial. The heads are modeled with elongated muzzles, articulated eyes, ears and mane details, giving each tool the appearance of a decorative equestrian object rather than simply a utilitarian hearth accessory.

Particularly attractive is the way the four horse heads gather together when the tools are returned to the stand, creating a dramatic sculptural composition at approximately 32 inches high.

The tools are supported by a substantial rectangular brass stand with a raised gallery and geometric detailing. The lower platform provides visual and physical weight, balancing the tall, slender implements while containing them neatly beside the fireplace.

The brass has been professionally restored and polished, bringing back its warm golden appearance while retaining appropriate traces of age and character. As with vintage brass objects of this period, minor surface variations and signs of previous use may remain.

At 32 inches high, the set has enough presence to balance a substantial fireplace without overwhelming the hearth. The narrow footprint—approximately 10 inches wide by 6 inches deep—also makes it practical for placement beside a mantel where floor space is limited.
