An antique three-panel screen featuring an oil painting by the Austrian artist Raimund Ritter von Brennerstein Wichera (1862-1925).
The artist, Raimund Ritter von Brennerstein Wichera, was an Austrian painter, born in Frankstadt (now Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, Czech Republic) and active in Vienna, where he passed away in 1925. Wichera was known for his portraits and other paintings, often created in the spirit of 19th-century tradition, depicting delicate and stylized figures. The painting on the screen appears to be a multi-figure composition, potentially with mythological or allegorical themes, given the presence of figures with long flowing hair and possibly winged cherubs, aligning with the romantic scenes mentioned in descriptions of similar screens.
