A striking presence on any mantle or sideboard, this Antique Tiffany & Co. Time and Strike Mantle Clock dates to the early 1900s and showcases the refined craftsmanship and elegant materials that defined turn-of-the-century luxury. The sculptural case is carved from black slate with polished green marble accents along the base and columns, lending rich contrast and classical weight to the piece. The clean white enamel dial with Roman numerals is housed in a gilt bezel and signed “Tiffany & Co.” — a subtle but unmistakable nod to its prestigious provenance.
The clock is designed with a traditional 8-day time and strike movement, sounding the hours and half-hours on a mellow bell. It is currently running and comes complete with its key and pendulum. The architectural form, fluted columns, and fine carving details — including the medallion rosettes and shaped front apron — create a refined silhouette that blends beautifully in both period and transitional interiors.
Condition is consistent with age and normal use. There is a visible scratch to the front bezel glass, as pictured, along with minor nicks and edge wear to the slate. The marble is richly figured and intact, and the brass bezel shows a soft aged patina. A fine and functional decorative timepiece from one of the most revered names in American design. 9h x 16w x 7d
Chairish sells clocks only with display as the intended use. The mechanical elements are not guaranteed to be in working order by Chairish.
