We fell in love with these Italian Hand-painted Step Down Side Tables the minute we found them. From the 1940s, they feature a Venetian flora and foliage design on the lower shelf. There is a beveled glass for each to protect this part of the table. The glass is not shown on the main picture, but on later photos as you scroll through. The upper shelf has a scroll foliage leaf design at the front and metal accent rail around three sides. The metal is also on the sides under the top shelf. Overall the tables have a saffron yellow ground. The legs are provincial in style and feature painted lines to accent their shape. These are gorgeous.

- Overall this pair are in very good vintage condition. The glass is in very good condition. One table has a … moreOverall this pair are in very good vintage condition. The glass is in very good condition. One table has a steel metal repair as noted in the photos. This is on the underside and actually makes the table more sturdy than just the wood legs alone. The metal accents are all in very good condition. The upper shelves on both tables have some sun fading were a lamp sat and a stain on the other. Both have some crazing to the shelf paint we assume due to sitting by a window and heat from the sun. All of this is consistent with age and use of 80+ year old painted furniture. less
