Striking vintage carved wood mirror with antique gold gilt finish standing tall at 48" high. We love the combination of the arabesque Moorish arch top and the faux bamboo Chinoiserie framed borders. Excellent condition with some shallow scratches to the gilded finish along one side edge, pictured, which does not show viewed directly from the front. Very high quality piece, labelled Harry A. Prince and Sons. Hefty with extra strong hanging wire on reverse. The quality is comparable to Freidman Brothers mirrors, and I would date this piece from the late 1960s to the 1970s.
Stunning in person. It is difficult to photograph large mirrors well, and these pictures do not do it justice. You will not be disappointed in this one! Local pickup in Richmond VA is welcome if you are nearby. Otherwise this piece will be shipped through the blanket wrap White Glove delivery service offered through Chairish to ensure safety in shipment.
