Offered is a large, sleek hand blown cased art glass orb/donut/low vase attributed to Alfredo Barbini of Murano, Italy. The images were all taken in natural daylight to highlight the nuanced colors, a rich olive green with a deep butterscotch glow in sunlight, so please excuse the reflections. We've found similar pieces made by Kosta Boda/Anne Nilsson (Sweden), Henry Dean (Belgium), and Claude Morin, (France), but this size and color were featured in a Barbini retrospective exhibit at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts. While perfectly usable as a low vase, it's a beautiful piece and deserves to be displayed where it catches light when not in use.
