A fine English Delftware charger in the distinctive Rococo period Fazackerley color palette: sage green, lavender, ochre and burnt orange. The flower sprays are gracefully sketched out around the rim and also fill the center of the large plate surface. An old label on the back identifies it as ca. 1740 Liverpool, the seat of the Fazackerley polychrome Delftware production. Nice antique condition, with some small typical rim flakes revealing the yellow earthenware ware beneath the glaze, (in fact, this charger has far less wear than is commonly seen), artisanal irregularities to the glazes as made.
