An elegant French cabinet with gilt bronze mounts, a drawer fitted in to the top of the case and a … Read more An elegant French cabinet with gilt bronze mounts, a drawer fitted in to the top of the case and a shelved interior below (comes with two shelves). The case is finely veneered in book matched kingwood, with further banding and stringing used to decorative effect. The doors frame matched serpentine shaped glass panels which are in turn bound with an ornamental cast and gilt band; the same band is found encircling the top of the cabinet. Ca. 1850-1870. Fitted with two shelves inside.
