RS Germany Dessert Plate Set (c. 1910–1938)
Four (4) 20th-century porcelain dessert plates from the Reinhold Schlegelmilch factory in Tillowitz, Germany. Each features scalloped edges and hand-applied gold trim, preserved in pristine condition.
Origin and History:
The "RS Germany" mark was used from 1914 to 1945, following an official change in 1910 from the earlier "RS Prussia" mark.
Characteristics:
RS Germany porcelain is known for its hand-painted decorations, which often feature detailed scenes like florals, portraits, and landscapes, especially after new technologies allowed for multi-colored enamel decalcomania.
