Offering an elegant Murano glass bowl, Italy, circa 1950s. Partial foil label is still intact on bottom of bowl.
The color and design are just stunning. The outside of the bowl is pure white with rows of controlled bubbles that move up onto the rim. The inside of the bowl is a beautiful lavender/eggplant color. Blown using the "Bullicante" method, the clear/white glass exterior is embedded with controlled air bubbles, enhancing both luminosity and depth. The interior is cased in a saturated lavender colored glass, offering a vivid contrast that intensifies the bowl’s sculptural presence. This glass bowl is slightly larger and chunkier than most Murano style glass bowls of the era.
EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION. Tiny spot in the lavender interior, which is a tiny speck of ash, that occurred during manufacturing. Mentioned only for thoroughness as it is very minor.
A captivating and sophisticated Vintage Murano bowl that will enhance any décor. A perfect accessory item for a Coastal, Palm Beach Chic or Mid 20th Century Modern style home.
