Vintage A. Santini Italian Sculpture of Venus
This exquisite antique sculpture showcases the goddess Venus in a beautifully detailed representation, newly born and standing gracefully in a giant scallop shell. Crafted from a creamy material, likely marble powder and resin, this piece dates back to the 1940s-50s and bears the signature and stamp of A. Santini, along with the inscription “ITALY” on the back.
In lovely condition, this sculpture is free from any marks or scuffs, making it a wonderful addition to any collection.
The piece evokes the timeless beauty of Botticelli’s "The Birth of Venus," where the goddess is depicted upon reaching the shore after her birth—a theme that has inspired artists for centuries.
Don't miss out on the chance to own a stunning piece of Italian artistry and history.
