Vintage hand-hewn wooden bowls typically feature gorgeous wood grain texture and subtle imperfections that speak to their humble history and use. This beauty is no different!

This bowl is uniquely one-of-a-kind and utterly whimsical, as it was hand carved from one solid piece of wood by an unknown Mexican artisan. While it appears to have been used as a bowl for dough or food prep, in the past, this beauty would be a fabulous cachepot filled with live or faux plants (place a liner in it if using live plants) or filled with colorful spheres and orbs atop a console table. This beauty measures 15½” wide (left-to-right from neck-to-tail) and 10½” high (from center neck curve to bottom); 6” x 6¼” H/D (bowl section measurements); interior 11¾” x 5½” x 4½” W/D/H; weight 1 lb. 15 oz. In excellent structural condition with cosmetic age-appropriate wear from years of food preparation, on the interior, which does not affect its utility or beauty. Exquisite patina adds to its enduring wabi-sabi charm and appeal and is a perfect example of what wabi-sabi is all about, the ability to embrace the perfectly imperfect.
