Fine Antique Mahogany Barley Twist Parlour Table, By Merklen Brothers, NY 1890’s
Made by the Merklen Brothers Furniture Company of New York City. Circa 1890-1910's
Mahogany Top, with poplar or maple rope or barely twisted legs, and a stick & ball skirted apron. The central medial stretcher is rope twisted. All ending with brass coloured cast iron claw feet. The claw feet are holding wooden balls, the typical trait of Merklen Bros. Furniture.
Size: 36" wide, 21" deep, 28 1/2" tall.
Condition: Refinished condition, some small old repairs to the base. A shrinkage crack on the top, and other various use and wear marks associated with age and use.
