A Antique Philadelphia Or Delaware Valley Queen Anne Walnut Lowboy Circa 1750’s
Philadelphia or Delaware Valley, circa 1750-1760’s
Queen Anne period.
Walnut with pine and poplar secondary woods. 4 lip moulded drawers, Single board top, with a thumb moulded edge. Cabriole legs ending in a triffid shaped foot.
Size: 30 1/2” wide, 29” tall, and 19 1/2” deep.
Condition: overall very nice. Minor repairs to the drawer lips from age and use. The brass hardware is of the period, however we feel they are not original to the piece. There is evidence of other holes filled in from several sets of brasses over the years. We feel the top is a mid 19th century replacement. Several staining and ring marks in on the top, slight smokey odour on the inside of the drawers.
