A timeless round wicker side table in the manner of Franco Albini. This midcentury end table was created in the … Read more A timeless round wicker side table in the manner of Franco Albini. This midcentury end table was created in the 1960s. It features a woven wicker and bent wood base, with bands of steel or iron for sturdiness. It sits upon three bent wood legs with rattan-wrapped joints. The underside of the table features a beautiful braided design in a contrasting lighter wicker. The top is made of wood, and cut to fit just inside the strands of bamboo that are affixed vertically around the piece. This method reminds us of a fishing basket. When flipped over, the table has two 'X' marks, which are possibly part of the craftsman signature or mark. This piece was sourced from a holiday pied-a-terre on Ten Killer Lake in Eastern Oklahoma.
