Up for sale is a Vintage Mid 20th Century Japanese Kutani Porcelain 57-Piece Place Setting Dinner Service for 8! The pieces all have lovely motifs of blue mountains in the background with gold bamboo plants in the foreground! The teacups actually have embossed lithophanes on the bottoms that reveal a geisha’s face when held up to the light! The entire set includes the following pieces: 8 Dinner Plates, 8 Soup Bowls, 8 Bread and Butter Plates, 8 Condiment Dishes, 8 Teacups, 8 Saucers, 1 Vegetable Platter, 1 Serving Tray, 1 Teapot, 1 Sugar Bowl, 1 Creamer, 1 Salt Shaker, and 1 Pepper Shaker. For comparison, the dinner plates each measure 10 1/8” in diameter at the rim. The set is in excellent overall condition with minor signs of wear consistent with its age and use.
