Liqueur Cabinet Tantalus or "Cave À Liqueur" With Crystal Decanter Set. French Napoleon III c. 1860s
An elegant addition to your bar with this antique liquor cabinet. A rectangular box with a serpentine front complete with marquetry and brass inlay. Stunning mother-of-pearl, ebony and brass medallions on lid and top. Further embellished with a two-toned inlay band along the border. The tantalus sits on four carved feet in an ebony finish.
Featuring a lift-top door with magnetized hinge for ease in displaying with an open lid. Swing doors at each side. When opened, this cave à liqueur displays a removable caddy with decorative brass handle and holders. Fitted with four decanters and sixteen matching cordials. All crystal decorated in foliage motif. An essential addition to your dry bar.
