Offered is a vintage handwoven Guatemalan textile in navy blue stripes with numerous joint bands of their jaspe ikat detail. The solid bands appear to be a soft wool, and the Jaspe Ikat bands are a thick cotton. We have a series of these and will be posting more soon. Our mother purchased these in the 1980s in Guatemala over numerous visits. She could not resist visiting small villages where artisans produced these pieces. Stay tuned as we post more. This piece would be perfect to make a large bedspread or 2 twin bedspreads for a chic home, or pillows for a large sofa, or to upholster a large ottoman or chair. We hope the pictures do it justice.
