With a Deco inspired design, these beautiful Thonet arm chairs express an organic flourish in solid maple underpinned with sturdy hardware. Originally distributed from the Park Avenue NYC showroom of Thonet (crafted in York, PA), the pair are versatile and very comfortable.
Solid vintage examples that sit level and show typical wear to the clear shellac. The overall gloss of the finish presents well and provides emphasis to the maple graining. Three small bolts on the underside of one seat have been updated for added stability (original bolts will be packaged & included). The one chair also has a repair to the underside decorative bent wood scroll. See photos with arrows.
