These were … Read more This is a Great Looking Antique American Country Primitive Dry Measure. VERY LARGE SIZE!. Circa Late 19th Century. These were used to Measure Grains, Rice, Beans, Seeds, Flour, Etc. It is Completely Hand Made with Steam Bent Oak Sides and a Pine Bottom. It has 2 Cast Iron Handles Attached. It also has Applied Steel Bands and Bottom Braces adding to its Structure. There is a Makers Name Embossed on the Bottom Interior but is Obscured - I Cannot Make it Out. It is in Very Good All Original Condition - Has Original Surfaces ( No Added or Removed Varnish ). It Displays Very Nicely.
It Measures Inches Tall x 7 3/4 Inches 15 3/4 inches Long ( Including Side handles ) x 14 1/2 inches Wide..
