A beautifully restored early 20th-century American farmhouse baking table, featuring two signature "possum belly" tin-lined drawers once used to store flour and sugar. Made of solid pine or oak (top may be oak; legs and drawer fronts could be mixed hardwoods) with classic turned legs, this piece combines rustic charm with practical function. This table has been expertly refinished to a warm golden patina, highlighting the natural grain while preserving vintage character. One of the upper drawers has felt-lined compartments, perfect for flatware or utensils, while the unique curved drawers below remain a nod to the table’s utilitarian past and are perfect for storing kitchen linens. A rare and charming survivor from the early 1900s—equally at home in a country kitchen or a modern rustic interior. These were popular between 1900 and 1930, especially in rural Midwestern and Southern kitchens.
