Rare and dramatic set of three matching lacquered España chest or bunching chests designed by Dorothy Draper. Mid-century chests of drawers made in the glamorous Hollywood Regency period. The iconic chests were featured in this trio format on the series "Sex in the City" in the Vogue editors office played by Candice Bergen in 1998. The chests appear to have an older restoration in the original black bean color with each drawer having triple scalloped squares and centered by gilt metal hardware. The finish has a desirable aged patina to commensurate age and use. The hardware has an aged gilt finish that complements the design. Sold as a set of three. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
