The cantilevered form adds comfort and visual suspense. He originally designed them for his Tugendhat House in Brno, Czech Republic, made like these in solid stainless steel. Original Thonet, Statesville, NC label. These came from the office of a V.P. of American Tobacco Company by family descent. The blue faux leather may be of later date. Minor rubs.
