This exquisite pair of antique footed glass vessels features a radiant honeycomb or “thumbprint” pattern, richly textured and brilliantly refractive. Standing approximately 8.5 inches tall with a scalloped rim and pedestal base, they were originally intended as spooners or celery vases, but today serve just as beautifully as floral vessels, hurricane lamps, or luminous accent pieces.
Made in the late 19th century, these pressed glass pieces reflect the craftsmanship of early American glassmakers such as Bryce Brothers, Adams & Co., or McKee. Their form and intricate geometric mold design are emblematic of the EAPG (Early American Pattern Glass) movement, blending Victorian elegance with utilitarian charm.
In the manner of fine pressed glassware from the 1870s–1890s, this pair offers a window into the refined domestic rituals of the Gilded Age.
