An antique jewelry box of the sought after Asian exotic hardwood calamander, fitted inside with wooden compartments and a writing tablet in the upper section and a cushioned silk lined compartmented drawer in the lower portion. Mother of pearl engraved inlay on the top. Late 19th century. Good condition, with less than usual wear for similar item of the same age. Some normal tight age cracks to the wood, all stable. Light wear to the leather interior fittings.
