The chairs were purchased by the first owner in 1987.

The gray lacquered metal frame shows signs of age and wear, with partial color defects. The seat cushion has been reupholstered with an exclusive fabric from Hermès.

The legendary "Chaîne d'Ancre" motif is playfully repeated in a regular sequence of chain links, striving for abstraction. The strong, dynamic graphic style, whose effect on the printed cotton satin is further enhanced by the bold colors, allows the object to fade into the background.

From 2011 to October 2020, Dedar was Hermès' partner in the production and distribution of furniture fabric collections. Hermès upholstery fabrics have not been commercially available for years.

All chairs are labeled and numbered on the underside by the manufacturer (Cassina).

The chairs are absolute eye-catchers and cannot be found anywhere else in this combination.
