Magnificent wall mask designed by Albert Strunz in West Germany in the 1950s. It shows a female face in profile, the skin color and hair tie are black with red lips and turquoise blue hair.

The Cortendorf factory was founded in 1890 by Julius Griesbach in Coburg-Cortendorf. In addition to decorative ceramic items, they also had a large selection of figurative ceramics.
Sculptor Albert Strunz introduced new design elements in 1954, including the female face masks he introduced in 1958.
In 1973 the factory was taken over by W.Goebel Porzellanfabrik, Rödental.
