Empire Period Atlas patinated and gilt bronze clock with original gilt edged and velvet lined case. Atlas son of Titan, from Greek mythology is holding the clock on his shoulders as if it were the world. Great attention has been paid to small details including excellent muscle tone. The chasing in the ormolu is fine. The original lined case has a break in the leather handle.
