Solid brass and smoked glass, this table features a self-contained mechanism of two brass framed layers of smoked glass, allowing the table to extend without need for storing extra leaves. Accommodating 4-10 guests (expands from 52" in length/width to 104"). The difference between this one and others is its expandable size and its design for self-contained storage of the extra extension. An easy-to-use mechanism makes accommodating extra guests a simple task.
Condition is much better than average for the age. I have seen many of these vintage tables and this one has been exceptionally well-cared for! Outstanding overall aside from minor small nicks, scrapes and minute areas of patina upon close inspection, rare for the vintage.
To expand the table, simply pull apart the two layers of glass until they extend and meet in the center.
It is a substantial, heavy furnishing as one has come to expect from the era and manufacturer. This is an excellent example of why we love vintage!
It seats 4-6 people when collapsed and 8-10 people when extended.
The Parson's style brass medium is versatile and applicable to today's Hollywood Regency, Boho Chic, MCM, eclectic and traditional interiors.
